In December we have fun learning all about our relatives going away for the holidays. We have fun shopping, gift giving and wrapping. and discovering the North Pole. We conclude the month celebrating the end of 2015.
Away For The Holidays
Day 1: Going to Grandma’s
Day 2: Letter M
Day 3: Color Green
Day 4: What’s Relative
Day 5: Away in the Kitchen
In this 5-day holiday unit, we visit Grandma’s house and work on some fun activities and crafts. The students learn about the letter M and they do some crafts for mom. They discover the color green and make green tissue paper wreaths and eat a green lunch. As the student’s countdown to Christmas we learn about our family relatives and make a family tree. We finish up the unit by heading to the kitchen to discover the scents of Christmas and bake up some Gingerbread fun.

Day 5: Under The Tree
In this 5-day unit, your students visit the North Pole and begin their countdown to Christmas. We sing Christmas songs, count while building Santa puzzles, match snowflakes and learn with the reindeers.
Your students will have fun playing elf checkers, pin the nose on Rudolph and decorating a Christmas tree. Kids are in the kitchen all week creating some yummy Christmas snacks and cider. A weeks’ worth of Christmas fun. Enjoy!

In this 5-day holiday unit, the students wrap it all up just before Christmas time. We have tons of fun in the kitchen as we smell the scents around us, bake some yummy holiday goodies, wrap up gifts and learn about gift giving. A fun unit just in time for some holiday fun.

In this 5-day New Year unit, your students will discover and explore the twelve months in the calendar year. They will match the monthly names in both English and Spanish, learn about the 4 seasons and do some fun activities surrounding spring, summer, fall and winter,
The students will have fun as they cut-n-paste a time line of special occasions for each of the twelve months and cook in the kitchen to make a calendar cake
This unit is perfect for ringing in the new year and teaching your students all about the four seasons and twelve months in a year. A ton of fun in a new year unit.
